Bega Chamber AGM

The Annual General meeting of the Chamber was held on Thursday the 18th of July at the Bega Commemorative Civic Centre with almost forty members in attendance.

President John Watkin reported on the years activities. Reports were also received from Emma Keft on the events team, Kirsty Towill on the Membership team, John Stylianou about McKee Drive and Rachel Paterson about the Welcome Experience.

The Election of office bearers took place with Kirsty Towill, Emma Keft, Julie Evans,  Lisa Hocking, Brad Eastman, Malcolm Barnes, Steve Bartlett, John Stylianou, Kevin Johnstone and John Watkin returning while David Akehurst and Mia Maze did not seek re-election.

Ben Smith was nominated and duly elected.

President is John Watkin while Malcolm Barnes is Vice-President and Public Officer and Steve Bartlett is Treasurer.

  • Dr Liz Mullins from Southern Health
  • Ben Smith is CEO of Tulgeen disability Services
  • Julie Evan is CEO of Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care.
